Habitat for Humanity
Mission/Program Description:
W/L Habitat for
Humanity, Inc. is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry, working
in partnership with donors, volunteers and homeowners to create
simple, decent, affordable housing for those in need and to make
shelter a matter of conscience with people everywhere.
Available
Assignments:
HFH is a
volunteer-based organization. We use volunteers in the construction
of our houses, in the office and on the Board of Directors.
Construction volunteers do not have to have a specific skill level
as we have a Construction Manager on site at all times.
Volunteer
Requirements:
Volunteers on
the job site must be 16 years of age. Youth between 16 and 18 are
not permitted to climb scaffolding, use power tools or operate heavy
machinery. Construction experience is not required. Office
volunteers need some computer skills. Everyone needs a commitment
to HFH’s goals.

322-2515 or stop in the office at 455 Hepburn St and pick up a
form. Youth between 16 and 18 years of age are required to have a
waiver signed by parent or guardian.
