SPCA

Mission/Program Description:

The mission of the Lycoming County SPCA is to protect all domestic animals by providing shelter, emergency treatment, investigation and prosecution of cruelty or abuse complaints, adoption and counseling, education programs, and humane care throughout Lycoming County.

Available Assignments:

• Humane Education   

• Pet Therapy

• Fundraisers/Special Events

• Hands on with shelter animals

• Administration

Volunteer Requirements:

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.  Exceptions can be made if a parent or legal guardian volunteers with child.  All new volunteers must complete a new volunteer orientation that is scheduled every other month.  Additional training required depending on the area you volunteer.  An up to date tetanus shot recommended.
