Volunteer Opportunity

AIDS Resource

Mission/Program Description:

AIDS Resource provides services to people affected with, and affected by, HIV/AIDS.  Additionally, we offer educational programs, HIV testing, and harm-reduction tools to the community to reduce the transmission of HIV.  Volunteers support our staff in reaching our goals to stabilize and/or improve the lives of our clients and the community as a whole.

Available Assignments:

Our volunteer assignments range from clerical duties to community education and outreach to fundraising for the agency.  Volunteer hours are extremely flexible.  Most of our volunteers choose to work during our regular business hours (9:00-5:00) for approximately two hours each week.

Volunteer Requirements:

Must be an adult or at least 16 years old.  Volunteers should contact the agency to arrange an interview with Amy Harada.  Each volunteer will be asked to complete an application at the interview and attend a general orientation.  Volunteers must maintain strict confidentiality and have a willingness to work with diverse populations.

Application Process:

Interested volunteers may stop by the agency, e-mail, or call to arrange an interview.  Volunteers will be given an application at the time of the interview.
