YWCA Our Liberty House program is designed for homeless women with children who want a hand up not a hand out. The program offers a structured curriculum for self improvement with several agencies assisting in this effort. This program addresses the community needs of homelessness/permanent housing, parenting and life skills education, and employment. One hundred percent of Liberty House residents participate in counseling and life skills educational workshops. The clients participate in the CareerLink program that provides employment counseling, resume assistance and works with participants to help them become eligible fro employment. Staff provides case management and ongoing monitoring of the clients' progress and needs. Our target population is low-income single mothers who are residents of Lycoming County and are experiencing homelessness. An advisory committee meets monthly to review protocols and identify potential new resources for our clients. For more information:
