Children's
Development Center The Inclusive Preschool program is open to all children in the community. It is one of just a few preschools for both children with special needs and typical children. By playing together, children learn to understand, accept, and value diversity. The small class size of this program allows individualized attention to the child’s needs. The year-round nature of the program allows for continued progress in meeting children’s specific needs. Children with needs great and small can benefit from our specialized program and caring, dedicated staff. We welcome all children to be part of our program. The Children’s Development Center’s preschool program is a language based preschool and differs from the typical preschool in which Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapies are on site. In addition, the Children’s Development Center’s preschool offers an innovative Music and Movement Program and Group Speech sessions to all children attending the preschool. The preschool program has added another program to meet the need for children with Autism. The Children’s Development Center is developing a full-day, intensive therapeutic program for children with autism beginning at two years of age. Children enrolled in the program will receive intensive therapeutic services by a staff that includes a classroom teacher, speech therapist, and occupational therapist. They also have the opportunity to be included in the preschool program to maximize social interaction and language development. For more information:
